Udhampur, Aug 18: Army on Sunday sent a group of 23 students from different schools of Ramban district on an educational-cum-motivational tour to Delhi and Haryana.
During the tour organised as part of 'Operation Sadbhavana', the children, having an interest in sports, will interact with students of Motilal Nehru School of Sports in Sonipat (Haryana), St Stephen's College, Kirorimal College and Jamia Millia Islamia University in Delhi.
The tour would help create friendly bonds among local sports persons and students from the mainland, a defence spokesperson said, adding that they will undergo training in cricket, swimming, basketball, football and volleyball in Sonipat. |
