Sports Reporter SRINAGAR, Aug 30: Sailing on superb bowling performance from Vijay Dogra, Khazir Royals today trounced Jumboo Gladitors by four wickets in the Jammu and Kashmir Corporate Premier League (JKCPL) underway at Kashmir University ground, here. Batting first, Jumboo Gladiators made 131 runs for nine wickets, which, in reply, Khazir Royal overhauled in 19 overs for six wickets with Puneet Kumar (37) being top scorer. Imtiyaz Malik and Somay Jain contributed 22 and 10 runs respectively. From Khazir Royals, Vijay Dogra clinched three wickets, followed by Jaleel Bhat, who took two. Manzoor Gadoo bagged one wicket. In reply, Khazir Royal chased the total making 137 runs for six wickets in 19 overs. Imran Haroon, Mujtaba Rizvi and Jhangir Bhat contributed 26, 24 and 23 runs respectively. Imtiyaz Malik and Somay Jain shared two wickets each from Jumboo Gladiators while Raman Dutta secured one. For his three wickets haul, Vijay Dogra was adjudged man of the match while prize for maximum sixes went to Jahangir Bhat. |
