| GCW Gandhi Nagar organizes rally on Peace, Communal harmony | | | Sports Reporter
JAMMU, Aug 30: As part of on-going Sadhbhavna fortnight celebrations, The NSS Unit of Govt. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu organized a rally on Peace and Communal Harmony here on Friday.
Principal of the College Dr. Kiran Bakshi flagged off the rally by releasing balloons as a message of peace and communal harmony. In her address on the occasion, she said that the message of universal brotherhood is the need of the hour as this alone can be a foundation stone for the progress of a nation.
The rally comprising of NSS volunteers displaying and raising slogans on peace, communal harmony and brotherhood, Staff members of the College and NSS Programme Officers, Dr. Shiveta Gandotra, Prof. Shrotika Rajput and Dr. Ashaq Malik went around the college campus and its vicinity in Gandhi Nagar.
The unit has organized series of activities including poster making, essay writing and slogans writing competition on daily basis since August 20 to promote the culture of tolerance, non-violence, communal harmony, and brotherhood - the way to sustainable and peaceful coexistence, and The program will conclude on teachers day. |
