Kathua, Aug 31: A sizeable number of applicants of driving license have expressed resentment against the RTO office Kathua for causingunnecessary harassment by not issuing the licenses. Applicants Rohit Kumar, Sawa Singh, Ravinder Singh and Jaffer Abbess alleged that the department has been running short of stationery for the last three months, resulting in their suffering. They said that the most of the applicants were belonging from far-off areas like Basohali, Billawar and Bani who could afford frequent visits for seeking the license in the RTO office Kathua . "Whenever we ask for the license the employees do not respond properly and started to use derogatory comments", they said, adding that they were disappointed by the response of officials. "The department is constantly befooling is by claiming the provision of inline service which is actually proved as flopped and failed. A department which cannot afford stationary for license cards then how we can expect the provision of online service from the department", they alleged. The department has never shown its interest to address the genuine problem of the public and the practice has been happening for the last two months in RTO office Kathua. |
