Jammu, Aug 31: A deputation of Congress workers from Marh Block under the leadership of Kewal Sharma met All India Congress General Secretary and in charge Jammu Kashmir Congress, Ambika Soni Ambika Soni and demanded a local Congress candidate should contest next assembly election.
The Congress workers of Marh Constituency submited and demanded that a young local candidate be given mandate for contesting coming assembly election. "For the last 18 years Congress did not give mandate to local person and that is why the party has lost ground. Even the person to whom, the mandate was given did not work for the voters and did not spend even a single day in the constituency," they told Soni.
