Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 31:Young and upcoming Dogri writers shared their literary works with the audience in a programme Mulakat organized by Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi at KL Sehgal Hall Jammu. Meanwhile nine Dogri books were also released on the occasion. According to press release, five writers read their literary pieces. Rajeshwar 'Raju', a prolific writer, and Sunita Bhadwal read their short stories, whereas Deepak Arsi, Joginder Kumar and Kewal Kumar' Kewal' recited their poems. The audience which comprises senior writers, critics, scholars and prominent citizens appreciated the presentations made in the programme. There is freshness in the creations of these young writers which augers well for the future of Dogri. Another highlight of the programme was release of 9 new Dogri publications by Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi. The books were released by Saujanya Sharma, Director Tourism, Jammu. He also spoke about the literary merit of nine new Dogri books released in the programme and published by Sahitya Akademi. While welcoming the audience, Professor Lalit Magotra, Convener of Dogri Advisory Board in Sahitya Akademi said that these publications bring the literature of one language to readers of another and act as a great bondage between languages. |
