| More recovery of money expected: IO | | Rs 5 million recovered in much hyped 'Hajeej Case' | | Srinagar, Sept 2: Police claimed to have another breakthrough in much hyped 'Hajeej Case' (duping of Haj aspirants) with the recovery of Rs 5 million from Delhi based party and got the same deposited into the account of Principal District and Sessions Court Srinagar. As per Investigation Officer (I/O) more recovery of money is expected during the course of investigation. Here it needs to mention that Police earlier have recovered an amount of Rs 2.35 Crore in this case from the accused Fabiyan Wahid Gilkar and other parties. Superintendent of Police (SP) City, North Tahir Saleem Khan told Kashmir based news agency CNS that an amount of Rs 2.35 Crore was earlier recovered while Consumer Redressal Commission too has recovered an amount of Rs 1.98 Crore from auction of the house of the accused Fabiyan Wahid Gilkar. "Today Rs 50 lakh were recovered from Delhi based party and the Vehicle Outlander of the accused Fabiyan Wahid Gilkar seized by the Police has been put to auction through Reliance Insurance Company by Session's Court Srinagar from which a good return (bid money) is expected". Meanwhile District and Sessions Court has already disbursed 49% of the payment of Hajj aspirants 2011 which they have deposited in Hajeej India Company in 2011and each Hajj aspirant of 2011 have also received and amount of Rs. 18,000 per person from Consumer Redressal Commission. Moreover, some Companies also received money from Honorable Session's Court Srinagar as well as from Consumer Redressal Commission. "We expect more recovery of money in coming days" SP North Tahir Saleem Khan Said. Ac per police case in October 2011, hundreds of Hajj aspirants were duped by a company working in the name and style of 'Hajeej India Hospitality Company' of Corers of rupees and a case against FIR No. 58/2011 stands registered at Police Station Khanyar. SP North Tahir Saleem Khan is investigating Office of the case and case is being monitored by Principal District and Sessions Judge Srinagar.(CNS) |
