Jammu, Sept 2: A Right to Information (RTI) activist Rajkumar, a resident of Bantalab, today received a life threat call from some unknown person and has lodged a complaint at Police Station Domana. As per recording of threat call which is available with Early Times, a person of Kashmiri accent initially abused Rajkumar and later blamed him for inciting violence and burning of shops at Kishtwar. "Who ? Rajkumar is speaking, (yes). You have abused Muslims and you have burnt shops in Kishtwar, I will shoot you and **** your sister. You bastard", the person calling Rajkumar threatened him from phone number 9858726571. Rajkumar when asked him for the reasons of abusing, the caller repeatedly abused him and threatened him to shoot and disconnected phone. "He has switched off the phone since morning. I have approached Senior Superintendent of Police, who asked me to approach concerned SHO", Rajkumar informed, adding that he has lodged a complaint. He further said that he has filed a number of RTI applications against several bureaucrats and various government officials, who were infuriated over his actions and might have used the tactics to silent him. |
