| Jan visits Block Mandi, distributes IAY cheques | | | Early Times Report
POONCH, Sept 2: MLA Poonch Ajaz Jan had an extension tour of Block Mandi along with a team of District Officers of all Line Departments.
The MLA during his visit distributed cheques amounting to Rs 11.5 lakh among the public under IAY and NBA through Rural Development Department (RDD). On the occasion, he announced one Ambulance for Aria and Tourist Hut and sanction Rs 15 lakh for its construction.
Later Jan visited Sub Centre at Village Arai which will be constructed at an estimate cost of Rs 30 lakh, MLA directed the concern to start and finish this work before snow fall and also asked concerns to submit reasons for the delay.
The main aim of the tour at Border Area along with a team of all District Officers was to reach out to the people for the redressal of their grievances at their door steps.
The MLA also interacted with the elected panchayat sarpanchs and panchs and advised them to become a bridge between the government and common masses and help the departments in executing various developmental schemes.
The outcome of such darbar was an immediate sanctioning of 63 KV transformer for Arai and an assurance was sought XEN PDD to do the same in a month time. |
