Kathua, Sept 2: An old lady working with Govt Middle School Khilo Chack zone Marheen of Chani Hiranagar today allegedly was roughed up by the school staff who later along with some sympathizers staged protest at Jammu Pathankot National Highway today.
While speaking at the protest venue on National Highway, the victim Sita Devi alleged that she have been working as temporary employee in Govt Middle School Khilo Chack and was engaged to cook the "Mid Day Food" for over six years but to her surprise some school faculty members forced me not to come to the school and leave the job.
"Staff led by Principal of the School started to abuse me and manhandled her, she said.
To condemn the brutalities by the school staff, the lady and her relatives blocked the National Highway for some time but later lifted their protest after the intervention of police and Deputy Chief Education Officer and then traffic was resumed. |
