Jammu, Sep 6: Jammu Province Peoples Forum (JPPF) today held a strong protest against sexual exploitation girl inmates of home for mentally retarded, run by an NGO Rotary International Home at Channi Rama.
Speaking on the occasion, in the meeting Pavittar Singh Bhardwaj demanded stern action and exemplary punishment to the Director and other staff of the NGO deeply involved in the sexual exploitation and rape of innocent girls in the premises of the NGO and outside as well.
He reiterated that it is the prime responsibility of civil society and the government to safeguard and provide full protection to the mentally retarded and other kind of handicapped persons of the society. He demanded an enquiry depth against the NGO working since 1979 as the working irresponsible, suspicious and sinful the registration, funding and all other aspects need through probe.
The president further demanded cancellation of registration of all such of the NGOs whose anticidants are doubtful, fake and nonexistent. These fake NGOs are involved in exploitation and plunder of the Govt. funds and are blot on the other existing NGOs actually working for the welfare of society. |
