Jammu, Sept 6 (JNF): Special Municipal Magistrate Jammu VS Bhou today granted eight days police remand of accused Angad Kumar presently Chowkidar Rotary inner Wheel home allegedly involved in sexual exploitation of mentally challenged girl.
Special Municipal Magistrate Jammu VS Bhou after perusal of CD file reveals that the accused was arrested on September 5, 2013 in case FIR NO 183/13 u/s 376/109 RPC and observed that keeping in view of the nature of the allegations, stage of investigation the application is allowed and accused namely Angad Kumar s/o Sat Pal presently Chowkidar Rotary Inner Wheel home is remanded to police custody for a period of eight days. Court directed IO to get the accused medically examined after every 48 hours.
Earlier SHO Chanchal Singh has produced the accused in custody and seeking police remand of accused for 10 days.
Meanwhile an Advocate who is visually disabled written a letter to Chief Justice seeking in-depth and thorough prove into the sexual exploitation of mentally challenged girls at Rotary Inner Wheels, Channi Rama be treated as PIL and investigation be monitored by the High Court. Chief Justice of J&K State MM Kumar after gone through thye contents of letter treated the letter as PIL and directed Registry to list this PIL on Monday. |
