Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 6 (JNF): In a petition filed by Shilpi Verma, widow of Late Kuldeep Kumar Verma who scarified his life during the 2008 the Shri Amarnath Ji Land Row seeking justice for her and her children, the Chief Justice Of J&K High Court Jammu Wing today issued notice to Chief Secretary J&K, Principal Secretary Law, Shalinder Singh SP, Alok Kumar SSP, ML Kaith SP and then DySP Swantanter Arora returnable within four weeks. In a petition filed by Shilpi Verma, widow of Late Kuldeep Kumar Verma who scarified his life during the 2008 the Shri Amarnath Ji Land Row seeking justice for her and her children so that they can see the report of the Justice (retd) O P Sharma Commission of Inquiry, which was constituted in 2008. She also has sought shifting of the writ petition from the Srinagar bench of the High Court to Jammu Bench of the High Court. Chief Justice Of J&K High Court Jammu Wing today after hearing Advocates AK Sawhney with Aseem Sawhney issued notice to Chief Secretary J&K, Principal Secretary Law, Shalinder Singh SP, Alok Kumar SSP, ML Kaith SP and then DySP Swantanter Arora returnable within four weeks. In the petition the petitioner has submitted that in the year 2008 there was a massive agitation called the Land Row Agitation in Jammu region which witnessed an indefinite shut down for 62 days in the region in protest of taking away of land from the Shri Amar Nath Shrine Board by the Government. During the agitation the Sangarsh Samiti headed by Adv Leela Karan Sharma started Dharna at Parade near Brahman Sabha Jammu. The petitioner's husband Late Kuldeep Verma who was deeply religious person with a cause in his heart and mind consumed some poisonous substance on 23.7.2008 and thereafter addressed gathering of protestors near Brahman Sabha Parade Jammu and during his brief address recited a poem showing frustration towards the Government action and commitment to take the agitation to the logical end. Husband of the petitioner collapsed on spot decrying for the cause of the people of Jammu and the demand for land for Shree Amarnath ji's shrine. People around evacuated him to the hospital where he was declared dead. The Sangarsh Samiti, declared that the cremation of the martyr (deceased husband of the petitioner) will be done on the next day with full public honour. The petitioner reached Parade near Brahman Sabha the body of her husband was kept there in a peaceful protest at Parade near Brahman Sabha. To her surprise around 2.30 a.m, a police contingent led by M.L.Kaith, Swatantra Arora, Shailendra Singh, and Alok Kumar, SSP, came on spot with a strong police contingent started forcibly taking away the body of the deceased. They violated all human norms and decency by pulling the petitioner by her hair and throwing her on the road. There was a total mayhem and chaos at that time in parade area later police took body to undisclosed destination. The petitioner was also picked by the police later petitioner along with others were taken to Bishnah at about 3.15 a.m to 3.30 a.m where the petitioner and others forcibly were made to wait near the cremation ground at Bishnah Kunda. The body of the husband of the petitioner was pulled by the Police personnel inside the cremation ground with an intend to cremate same at night hours against the customs and rites of Hindus.
