Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Sept 6: Hitting hard at National Conference, former Minister and Member AICC Abdul Gani Vakil today in a statement said Omar should be thankful to Congress high command for continuing as Chief Minister of the state. He said that National Conference was pursuing a hidden agenda of weakening the coalition and the Congress. Urging Congress high command to take serious note of the developments in Jammu and Kashmir, he said NC nominated its men as members of Kargil Hill Development Council unilaterally and in an undemocratic manner. Vakil said that this act was aimed at promoting favoritism and amounts to deceiving the coalition partner. "NC did not consult the Congress before nominating the members", he said adding "they (NC) want to divert attention from governance deficit. Vakil said that adhering to the precedence, it was duty of NC to refer the matter to Coordination Committee rather ordering nominations in a hasty manner. He cautioned Chief Minister of the negative impact of such activities, which only strengthens the people having vested interest to destabilize the coalition Government in the state. He demanded immediate revocation of the Government notifications issued in this behalf to which is mandatory for upholding the harmony between two partners. National Conference should remain thankful to Congress High Command because of whose support Omar Abdullah continues to be the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Vakil added. |
