| Nutrition week celebrations culminates at GDC Parade | | | early times report
Jammu, Sept 7: The Nutrition week celebrations were organized by P.G Department of Home Science was culminated at Government Collage for Women, Parade Jammu.
According to press release, on the occasion of culmination of weeklong celebration, an extension lecture on "Food Safety and Nutritional Care in the Adolescent years" was organized today.
In this connection Dr.Vasanta Kohli, Consultant Dietetics and Therapeutics Department of Medicine, Government Medical College, Jammu was the Resource Person. She talked in detail about the importance of Nutrition and role of diet in the maintenance of health in these special years of life. Dr.Shashi Kaul welcomed the resource person and the participants she briefly reviewed the activities of the weeklong celebration.
Dr Hemla Aggrawal, Principal Distributed the prizes among the students for various activities held during the week which included poster making, symposium and cooking competition. The Faculty members of Home Science Department were also presents the occasion Prof. Nidhi Kotwal in her vote of thanks appreciated the student's participation during the week and encouraged them to participate in such activities for the overall development. |
