| Army playing positive role in mitigating of peoples' problems | | Critics must understand and keep quite | | ET Report Jammu, Sept 7: The role being played by Indian Army in Jammu and Kashmir after bringing down the rate of militancy to a low, is appreciable and a slap for those who are raising voice for repeal of Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA). Be it controlling communal violence in Kishtwar or fighting sectarian clashes in Budgam, the army has performed well to restore peace and order. At both these places, the state government and administration were left with no option but to call in the army for help. People are witness to the fact that it was only after intervention by Army that situation improved in both these places, The Army did its role well and never said that they are primarily meant for fighting insurgency. The Indian Army came forward and did their job selflessly by performing the duty day and night. Besides that the Indian Army is holding different events for people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially those living in far flung areas by organizing medical camps, study tours, coaching camp and much more under operation Sadbhavana, which is a true example of a national Army. This ole is actually of a government but Army is ahead of administration and government in this phase also and are helping people in mitigating their problems. It s a fact that people in far flung areas don't have much access to medical and education facilities and Army comes forward for these people time and again and help them in their daily living. The critics of Army must see these aspects as well and then talk about removal of AFSPA or any other things which hurts functioning of Army. |
