KATHUA, Sept 6: Urging the district administration to provide possession on the piece of land allotted to them against the land given for the construction of Jammu University Campus at Kathua, the locals of Janglote said that some people are trying to intimidate them from taking over the possession.
The locals said that when they went to take possession in presence of MLA Kathua Charanjit Singh, some people protested the move.
The land allottees further said the opposing people threatened them with dire consequences if they tried to take passion of the land.
Due to the opposition, the situation got tense and a clash between the two parties could have erupted, however, timely intervention by ACR Kathua pacified the agitated groups. |
