UDHAMPUR, Sept 6: Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) today organized day-long entrepreneurship awareness cum loan fair.As many as 200 participants, including sarpanchs, naib sarpanch, senior citizens and educated unemployed youth, attended the programme under JKEDI's awareness campaign regarding the term loan scheme the institute implements under the National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC). Joint director planning, Udhampur, Rakesh Jamwal, who was the chief guest, addressed the gathering. Jamwal said entrepreneurship is the only solution to address the problem of unemployment in the state. "The government doesn't have resources to provide employment to every educated unemployed youth of the state" he said. "There are certain sectors that have good scope in the district like agri- allied, tourism, handloom, handicrafts and service sector." JKEDI communication officer M.M. Khan gave a presentation highlighting various important aspects of schemes implemented by the institute.
