JAMMU ,Sept 6: The installation ceremony of the new team of Rotary Club Jammu Aastha for the Rotary Year 2013- 14 was held at Hotel Asia which was attended large number of Rotarians including District Governor for the year 2013-2014.
Chief Guest for the evening, District Governor, Rtn. Dr Pawan Gupta along with Guest of Honor District Secretary Rtn Ashok Mittal installed Rtn CA. Amit Gupta and his team for the year 2013- 2014.
The new team comprised of Rtn CA Amit Gupta as President, Rtn Ashok Gupta as Vice President, Rtn Anoop Bhan as Sectretary, Rtn Surinder K Bansal as Treasurer and Rtn Sumil Goyal as Sergeant at Arms. Besides this, Rtn Deepak Sethi, Rtn Vipan Bhasin, Rtn Ajay Aggarwal, Rtn Sahil Chopra and Rtn Arvind Gupta were also installed as Club Directors during the said installation ceremony held today. Newly installed president, Rtn CA Amit Gupta assured the chief guest District Governor Rtn Dr Pawan Gupta that the new team will try to achieve the goals set to them.
Earlier speaking on the occasion Distt Governor Rtn Dr Pawan Gupta exhorted the new team to woprk as a team to achieve their goals. Others speakers gave a brief account of people friendly activities undertaken by the 'Aastha' including Dental Check Camp, Tree plantation drives and etc in collaboration with Rotary International.Prominent among present on the occasion included District Secretary, Zonal Chairmen, Assistant Governors, Presidents and Secretaries from various clubs from the Rotary International District 3070.
