Jammu, Sept 7 : Activists of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Gangyal unit today staged a protest demonstration against Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) department alleging that department has turned into a corruption hub.
According to press release, the protest was led by Baldev Singh Billawaria ex-sarpanch Gangyal and president Panchyat Raj Cell BJP (J&K). Addressing the protestors Billawaria said that it was discrimination with the Jammu people that at one hand there was shortage of ration on depots while on the other state government was not doing bifurcation of ration cards.
He threatened the government and CAPD department for staging strong demonstration if government would fail to provide ration. Harbans Lal Choudhary, Surjeet Kumar, Omnath, Sanjay Koul, Satpal Choudhary, Jaswant Singh, Joty Parkash Sharma, Suresh Jamwal, Tarsem Choudhary and Pitamber Sharma. |
