Jammu, Sept 7: The fifth batch of M.Ed was given a formal welcome at the MIER College campus.
According to press release, Dr. Arun K. Gupta, noted educationist and Chairman MIER was Chief Guest of the function. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Dr. Adit Gupta, Joint Director MIER, Dr. SurinderKour, Controller Examinations MIER, Dr. B.L. Raina, HOD M.Ed Wing, Dr. H.R. Shan, Head Research Wing, Dr. P.L. Koul, OSD MIER, Dr. Annie Koul, HOD B.Ed General, and Rajendra Praveen HOD B.Ed Special Education, along with the faculty of M. Ed department.
The function started with an auspicious note with the students presenting an inspiring prayer. Dr HR Shan extended a very warm welcome to the chief guest and the new students and also acquainted the new students with the facilities and accomplishments of the college. Prof. B. L. Raina, HOD PG Department, thanked the students for showing faith in MIER, by getting admitted to this pioneering institute. He told the audience that the course work has already started with effect from 26th August, 2013.
The students were also informed about the activities, responsibilities and expectations of the PG Department. Dr. Raina advised the new batch to take advantage of the teaching learning environment offered by the college which is top class. He wished them all the best in their learning Endeavour. |
