Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 7 : Showing resentment over recently declared result of JKCET, the Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association (JKBWA) today said the due share was not given to the community. According to press release, a meeting of JKBWA was held here today which was chaired by Piara Lal Lakhotra and attended by a large number of Batwal Community members. The meeting showed anger over the recently issued JKCET select list of MBBS saying that plus two medical stream candidates belonging to Batwal community have not got their due share of MBBS quota meant for all Scheduled Castes in it and as such, the community appealed the State Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to sympathetically consider the Association memorandum dated July 7, 2013 sent to his office and nominate the deserving plus two candidates of the community, on compassionate grounds, to the professional institutions to pursue MBBS course. Prominent among those who attended the meeting included Lt Col. (retd) Manaohar Lal, Capt. Kamal Dass, Capt. Girdhari Lal, Sub. Maj. Gunni Ram, Sub. Maj. Thoru Ram, Sub. Hans Raj, Hav. Des Raj, Master Rattan Lal, Master Naresh Kumar, Punnu Ram, Ram Dass, Madan Raj and Chaman Lal. |
