early times report
Jammu, Sept 7: Bhartiya Janta Party has expressed grave concern over total neglect of the areas by the state government in matters related to development and extending benefits of various welfare schemes as there is anger and resentment against the sitting MLA of the area.
This was disclosed by Sat Sharma, BJP Incharge Cell, who was addressing a public gathering at Gurrah Manasa after concluding his 2-day extensive tour of Bhalwal Bharat, Bhalwal Mulloo, Rangpur, Takwal, Gurah Manahassa, Pargwal and Sajwal areas of Pargwal islands in Khour constituency
He was accompanied by Pargwal Mandal President Jai Singh and BJP ex-serviceman cell state general secretary Bishamber Jasrotia.
He said that high claims of treating all the areas equal in all matters have fallen to ground as the people are still discriminated.
The BJP has large population in Khour constituency which supports us and for their affiliations to our party the MLA of the Congress has been depriving them of the basic amenities and benefits of various schemes.
He said that the area also houses the population of ex-servicemen and they too have resentment against the state government, which has failed to meet their long pending genuine demands.
Sat Sharma said that during his tour, the people also narrated that the Block Development Officer (BDO), Khour, has been working at the dictates of the Congress leaders and paying whole attention towards the directions of sitting MLA.
He said that during the recent rains, a large number of people have got their houses damaged but they are neither registered for Indira Awas Yojana or for relief and compensation to reconstruct their houses.
He said that the BDO never bother to listen to the grievances of these helpless people as their names have not been sponsored by the Congress MLA.
He said that the attitude of the BDO towards BJP activists and supporters has been totally different which is not expected from a public servant.
He declared that the party will approach the Vigilance Organization if the BDO do not mend his working style.
Bishan Jasrotia, Ramesh Khajuria, Parveen Singh, Balwan Singh, Ravi Singh, Capt. Kashmir Singh, Raghubir Singh, Vikas Kumar, Tony, Manish Raja and Ishar Dass also accompanied the BJP leaders.
