| Campaign on theme "Biodiversity Conservation" launched | | | Early Times Report
Doda, Sept 7: To create awareness among the people living in far flung and hilly areas particularly student community about the importance of biodiversity, a programme was organized under National Environment Awareness Campaign on the theme "Biodiversity Conservation" at Govt. HSS Dessa Zone Bhagwah.
Mohd Hafiz, principal was the chief guest & CP Thakur coordinator Paryavaran Mitra Programme was the guest of honour. Jamsheed delivered lecture on the theme "Biodiversity Conservation". He stressed upon the cleanliness condition of the streets.
Mushtaq Ahmed Lecturer also delivered a lecture on deforestration.
During the programme a rally of students was flagged off by the Principal. He asked the students and local people for conservation of forests and water which is essential for our future.
He asked the students to use this programme to make masses aware, understand and visualize the impact on environmental balance through human interference. CP Thakur Coordinator who impressed upon the people of the region to conserve biodiversity/ forests for maintaining ecological balance and green cover of the area. He asked the people to conserve the rich flora and fauna of the area and plant more and more trees. In debate & seed collection students were awarded 1st 2nd & 3rd. Also a workshop of teachers from different schools of the area regarding NEAC was conducted.
