Doda, Sept 7: Government Degree College (GDC) Doda today organized a symposium on "Biodiversity-Threat and Conservation in collaboration with WWF Indian and Ministry of Forest and Environment, Government of India. According to sources, in debate competition, 10 participants threw light on the topic and in painting competition nine students participated. Saba Farid, Irshad Ahmed and Vikas Parihar were adjudged as 1st, 2nd and 3rd in debate competition respectively, whereas Munisha Thakur, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman and Irshad Natnoo bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd in painting competition respectively. Principal, ZA Hashmi was chief guest during the held programme who threw light on unstoppable threat posed to biodiversity by human activities and measures to be taken for its conservation. Dr. Wahied K Balwan, Prof. Bashir Ahmed, Prof. Babu Ram, Prof. Ashwani Kumar and Prof. Showkat Mir were judges during the competition. |
