| Army donates furniture to GMS Upper Kaller | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Sept 7: As a good will gesture, Army donated furniture and infrastructural facilities to Government Middle School (GMS) at Upper Kaller, Rajouri.
The initiative of providing furniture and other facilities was taken up under the aegis of Ace of Spades Artillery Brigade. To grace the occasion officials from education and civil administration were also present and the items were handed over to the Principal.
Army's goodwill gesture was appreciated by everyone present on the occasion and enthusiastic students also presented a cultural programme.
"Indian army apart from being the fore runner in providing peace and tranquility in the State has also carried out numerous development projects under operation 'Sadbhavna' in the district," said a senior army officer.
Col Surjeet Singh, CO was of the view that this project has added another feather in the cap of the army which has been providing an impetus to educational facilities in the far flung areas. |
