| NYP holds protest against rape of mentally challenged | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Sept 7: National Youth Project (NYP) today held a protest demonstration against shameful act of raping and sexual exploitation of mentally retarded girls in Rotary Club Inner Wheel Home for mentally retarded children of Channi Rama at Kathua.
Speaking on the occasion, District Coordinator of NYP, Updesh Andotra said that this act is really shocking and even has brought disgrace to the organization.
She said it is first incident in the history of Jammu in which director and guard of the Home of Mentally Retarded Children, Channi Rama were arrested for their involvement in sexually abusing the girl inmates and few more are yet to be arrested.
She demanded their early arrest so that they could be exposed to the people and their punishment fixed. |
