| 90 quintals polythene carry bags seized at TP Lakhanpur | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 7: Excise sleuths at Toll Post Lakhanpur today seized 9000 kilograms of polythene carry bags, which were being smuggled from Punjab to Jammu. According to press release, a vehicle was put on routine check by the assessing officer on duty. The vehicle was declared to be carrying 'Potatoes" and during the physical checking it was found loaded with 9000 kilograms of polythene carry bags. During the physical checking another fake Challan of "Triple" was also found from the truck. The driver of the vehicle fled away leaving behind his truck. The vehicle has been seized for compounding fine under J & K Levy of Tolls Act and will be handed over to the Commercial Taxes Department for further action at their end. |
