| Link LoC victims to Social Protection Schemes: Madan | | | Early Times Report
Nowshera, Sept 7: Madan Lal Sharma, Member Parliament Jammu Poonch Constituency calls upon Social Welfare and Revenue Department to link all victims of border firing to social protection schemes. He was speaking in the concluding ceremony of camp organized by National Development Foundation, (NDF) in partnership with Save the Children Supported by ECHO which was organized with an objective to link victims of mine blasts and border firing to social protection schemes of Govt. Kuldeep Raj Verma, Vice Chairman OBC Board and Rajiv Khajuria Chief Functionary NDF were also present on the occasion. Congress MP Madan Lal Sharma in his address condemned the firing from across the border and expresses his solidarity and support with the border people. He informed that he had met with PM, Defence Minister and Home Minister at Delhi and had taken up the issues related to border and demanded insurance for the life, crop and property of the people. Earlier Sharma addressed a huge gathering at Dak Bunglow Sunderbani and asked the panchayat members to link the people with social protection and development schemes as UPA Government has opened the gates of treasures especially for J&K. Sharma also demanded that the BADP grant should be enhanced. Sharma also felt that there is need to improve the quality of education in Govt. Schools. He also said that he personally has approached the defence and Home ministry for special recruitment from border areas and has got assurance for the same.
