Kathua, Sept 15: Soon after the announcement of Narinder Modi as prime ministerial candidate by the BJP, district Kathua wore a festive look and turned as place of celebrations sounded with slogans in praise of Modi. The BJP activists also danced with tune of drum beating and busted the crackers. They celebrated Modi's candidature for prime ministerial post with full enthusiasm by taking out a procession raising slogans like "Hamara PM Kesa Ho Narinder Modi Jesa Ho" and "Narinder Modi Zindabad." In Billawar, Hiranagar, Bani, Basohali and Kathua the BJP activists distributed sweets and appealed the general public to unite under the banner of BJP so that Modi could get the strength to topple the "most corrupt, undemocratic and failed UPA government which has led nothing more than huge scandals and destruction of aspirations of the common man of the country." Meanwhile, BJP, BJYM, Mahila Morcha (BJP) Kathua unit also celebrated the coronation of Modi as party's Prime Ministerial candidate by its parliamentary board in union capital yesterday. While speaking on the occasion District president BJP Vijay Sharma, ex-president Prof Sain Dass, BJYM leaders Gopal Mahajan, Inderjeet Singh Sambyal, District president of Mahila Morcha (BJP) Chanchla Devi said that announcement of Modi as PM candidate a great and timely decision by the parliamentary board and the party has won the half battle to the next parliamentary elections. |
