SRINAGAR, Sept 15: The under-19 football team of the state today left for participation in the 29th National Football Championship to be held at Bokharo in Jharkhand from September 19.
The 20-member team is accompanied by the Vishwamitter and Rashid Ahmad as coach and manager respectively, a handout out issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA), here today said.
In the preliminary league round, J&K shall take on Kerela in the opening tie scheduled for September 20, followed by the match against Arunachal Pradesh on September 22 and Rajasthan on September 24.
The winner of group of four teams shall qualify for the knock-out round of semifinals. Earlier, the selected probable from different districts underwent a coaching camp at Polo Ground, here. |
