Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 15: Eminent Punjabi poet of the State Pritam Singh Panchhi was today honored in a special literary event organized by Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, here at KL Saigal Hall, The programme was presided over by respected Shriman Mahant Manjeet Singh, Head, Shiromany Dera Nangaali Sahib, Poonch {Digiana Aashram-Jammu Waale. The citation and paper based on the literary contributions of "Panchhi" was read out by Bhupinder Singh Bhargav and Kamal Deep Singh (Punjabi Scholar), respectively Shriman Mahant Manjit Singh Ji, Shamsher Singh Chohalvi, President Punjabi Lekhak Sabha presented a shawl and momento as award of honour to "Panchhi". Earlier, Shamsher Singh Chohalvi, President Punjabi Lekhak Sabha welcomed the special invitees and other literary and non-literary Punjabi loving personalities who graced the occasion with their presence. Chohalvi also briefed the activities of the Sabha wherein he expressed that the Sabha had honoured more Punjabi writers such as Rajpal Singh Mastana, Dal Baljeet Raina, Des Raj Danish and Avtar Singh Kooka in the recent past to acknowledge their literary contributions and desired that this tradition should continue in the future too. Chohalvi also urged upon Sh. Raman Bhalla to fulfil his commitment regarding construction of Punjabi Bhawan.
