JAMMU, Sept 15: An Army jawan was found hanging with a tree in Kana Chak area under mysterious circumstances. The jawan was identified as Shiv Shanker of Akkalpur in Uttar Pradesh.
Police said that they received information from the locals about the hanging body of a soldier. "A police team was rushed to Gura Pattan area of Kana Chak and recovered the body and shifted it to the GMC hospital for post mortem and other legal formalities," police added.
It said that they became suspicious about the hanging because foots of the deceased were touching surface. "It was shown as if he has committed suicide. But nothing can be said at this point of time as the investigation to unfold facts is on," a police officer said, adding they have registered a case at the concerned police station and have started investigation in the case. |
