| Our daughter is being pressurized: Reasi rape victim parents | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 16: Parents of Reasi rape victim have alleged that their daughter was being pressurized to take back her statement, so that culprits would be escaped.
According to press release, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party has alleged that father of rape victim girl of Reasi, Chandu Ram residing in Talwara Migrant Camp came with his wife to see his daughter presently locked in the so-called women and children distress home Kacchi Chowny, but were not allowed by police to meet her.
"The parents were not allowed to meet their daughter who was brought by the police from Reasi to the so called distress home which is being managed by a private society. According to the information a Sub-Judge of Reasi hurriedly dispatched the victim girl to Kacchi Chowny and refused her parents to take her home", they said.
The parents contacted Bansi Lal Sharma advocate and Secretary State Legal Aid Committee this morning sought their help to save their daughter from liquidation by the interested parties.
Bansi Lal Sharma said that state legal aid committee would file a petition in the High Court for the safety of the rape victim girl and seek her custody on behalf of her parents.
In the meantime ms Anita Thakur General Secretary has demanded through handover the entire case to the CBI so that the culprits could be brought to justice. |
