Symposium on topic 'Save girl child' held

Kathua, Sept 16: A Symposium was organized by the Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School in the premises of the school at Nagari Parole here today in which Block Medical Officer (BMO) Raj Kumar was the chief guest.
More than 20 students participated in symposium and expressed their opinions on the topic "Save Girl Child" and laid stress to safety and respect of the female girls by developing the sense gender equality.
In his address the chief guest BMO Dr Raj Kumar also placed his views before the students and other general audience and appealed the people to unite for the safety and protection of the females and criticize the practices of gender inequalities and abortion of female foeticide.
Earlier Principal of the School Kavita in her welcome address had told that the objective of symposium is to create awareness among the students and people regarding the "Save Girl Child".
