| Rajouri observes complete bandh over administrative failure | | SDS, VHP demand justice for minority community | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Oct 6: Rajouri observed complete bandh over the incident of assault on the volunteers of Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh (RSS) by some miscreants on 4th of October-2013 and the arrest of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha(BJYM) district vice president Mohin Muna by the local police. SDS and VHP Rajouri today extended the bandh for indefinite period. The decision for indefinite bandh was called by the SDS and VHP after having a meeting with local traders, social, political and the religious organizations at SDS office Rajouri. Addressing the representatives of various organizations SDS Rajouri district president Dinesh Sharma accused the police and the district administration for having sympathies with the anti social elements those assaulted the nationalist youth who were attending the RSS Shaka. He said it is a matter of shame that police and the civil administration is patronizing the anti-social elements and harassing the nationalist youth in Rajouri. He said when some miscreant youth of majority community assaulted the volunteers of RSS and thrashed them who were attending the daily Shaka and torn the "Bhagava Dwaj" (Hindu Flag) and chased the Swayamsewakas for a long time and when some local Hindu youth asked them to stop using unparliamentarily language and anti-national slogans, instead of stopping the gundaism majority community youth started stone pelting on minority Hindu houses in which a lady Poonam wife of Rajesh, shopkeeper, got injured and during this period some constables of Jammu Kashmir police reached the spot but failed to control the anti-national elements as they remained mute spectators, he added. He further he said when injured Poonam and the RSS, VHP and SDS-Rajouri approached the police authorities to register a case against the miscreants who attacked the RSS volunteers in Naban Shaka, police refused to register the case and in reversal action, police logged FIR against the minority Hindu youths including a ninth class child and an eminent social worker under section 307 which shows the biased and discriminatory approach of the police and the civil administration against the minority Hindus in Rajouri, he added. Addressing the meeting VHP state Secretary Rajeev Rotra, district president Sat Pal and general secretary Yugvir said insult to the Bhagava Dwaj (Hindu Flag) cannot be tolerated at any cost and called it an insult on Hindu religion and demanded the immediate arrest of all the culprits involved in assaulting the RSS Shaka. He said after the recent Kishtwar incident, it is another attempt to force the minority Hindus to migrate from the border district and held police and civil administration responsible for it. He said the miscreants who attacked the volunteers of RSS, torn the Hindu Flag and raised the anti-national slogans are being patronized by the police and victims are further victimized by the authorities. SDS and VHP Rajouri demanded immediate arrest of all the miscreants who attacked the RSS Shaka, immediate release of BJYM district vice president Mohin Muna and withdrawal of all the cases registered against the minority Hindu youths and the social workers by the police . The representatives of all the organizations who attended the meeting unanimously resolved to support the indefinite bandh called by SDS and VHP till the demands put forth by the SDS and the VHP are meted out and the justice is reached. |
