Jammu, Oct 6: The boy tortured by the Kishtwar SIT is lying in a critical condition in the hospital in winter capital Jammu. Doctors attending the injured boy have said that he has suffered serious internal injuries and his condition continues to be critical.
While there has been widespread condemnation of the SIT probing the communal clashes in Kishtwar over the torture of the boy from almost every section of the society cutting across political borders and consideration senior Congress leader and Lok Sabha member, Chowdhary Lal Singh has been conspicuous by his silence over the incident.
If somebody representing the people in the country's Parliament would not speak for the boy and seek explanation from those responsible for the boy's torture then where should those suffering police excesses go? It is a question the people are asking Chowdhary Lal Singh who would have to explain today ortomorrow what has been the reason for his mysterious silence over the Kishtwar boys torture. BJP members last week walked out of the state assembly alleging that the torture of the boy at the hands of the SIT is a conspiracy to trigger the migration of the minority community from Kishtwar. Even after the BJP protest, the Congress Lok Sabha member has chosen to remain slient. Why? |
