| Public grievances redressal camp office inaugurated | | | Early Times Report Katra, Oct 6: Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand inaugurated Public Grievances Redressal Camp Office at Katra constructed by District Administration in order to effectively deal with administrative and management issues as well as inter-departmental coordination at base camp for Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine. MLA Reasi Baldev Raj Sharma, MLC Jugal Kishore Sharma, Divisional Commissioner Shantmanu, District Development Commissioner Shahid Iqbal Choudhary accompanied the deputy chief minister. Constructed under Constituency Development Fund of MLA Reasi and District Plan the camp office has been established in Katra for providing a single administrative window for all the departments of district having roles and responsibilities for Katra town. It will serve as a grievance redressal cell for all kind of issues of Katra and its vicinity related to essential services, civil supplies, security, development; and also a nodal point for coordination between various departments of district administration and SMVD Shrine Board, Katra Development Authority and other agencies. An anti-encroachment Cell is also being established in same complex. Tara Chand appreciated the efforts of district administration for decentralised administrative set up in Katra and said that construction of camp office will go a long way in better public service delivery in such an important town which witnesses influx of more than 30,000 pilgrims every day. He termed the implementation of Results Framework Document at Panchayat level as a historic step in district. He also asked the DDC to identify a suitable place for construction of new Girls Higher Secondary School in the town. MLA Baldev Raj Sharma lauded the efforts of Deputy Commissioner and his entire team for an equitable development of all the parts of district and also paying due attention to the developmental needs of Katra town. Divisional Commissioner, Shantmanu, termed it first of its kind initiative in state and desired to replicate same in larger districts. DDC Shahid Iqbal Choudhary said that step was taken keeping in view developmental and coordination need to Katra town. ADDC Bikram Singh Jamwal, SSP Sharief Chouhan, ADC Rajinder Singh Tara, ACR Tilak Raj Shastri, ACD Joginder Singh and other senior officers of district administration were present on the occasion. |
