| JPSETT (Progressive) appreciates decision of Secretary Education | | | Jammu, Oct 6: While commenting on the preparation of the state government to pass the "Right of Children to Free & compulsory Education" Act in coming assembly session, Deep Singh, the president of "Jammu Private Schools & ETT institutes (Progressive)" expressed gratitude towards the initiative of Secretary School Education Hardesh Kumar Singh for seeking the opinion and comments of the public in general before its final draft to be placed before the state assembly. According to press release, while expressing his comments over the said exercise, Deep Singh was of the opinion that it would have been in the larger interest of our nation if our politicians had asked for an Act regarding "Right of Children To Enjoy Their Childhood" prior to the Act on "Right of Children to Free & Compulsory Education" in view of an open injustice to our innocents. In visionary approach of our political class just seems worried for their own kith and kin, he added. While watching discovery TV channel many a times it is noticed that even animals are much careful towards their young generations and put them in between while moving in flocks as a defensive strategy but on the other hand nothing has been done in the interest of our children, Deep Singh alleged. No policy at national or states level had ever been made to develop play grounds, amusement parks or cycling tracks and even safe foot paths for our children with the result our innocents had almost ignorant of "Childhood", he further alleged. Due to lack of non adulterated nutrition, our young generation is almost seems involved in number diseases and in contrary, our rulers just succeeded in providing merely the basic level vaccination, he alleged further. While appealing folded handedly to person at helm of affairs and the representatives of civil society, Deep Singh urged for developing a consensus to work for promoting the childhood of our innocents. |
