early times report Katra, Oct 6: All India Devotional Song Competition as a part of Navratra Festival 2013 began today at Yog Ashram Complex Yog Acharya Swami Yoga Nand Ji Maharaj and Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi Tara Singh in presence of Addl. SP Katra Pawan Parihar, Dy.SP Rajinder Katoch & others . In the preliminary round of competition Yasir Hussain from Punjab and Balwant Raj from Udhampur jointly shared 1st position, Rajeev Kumar Salotra from Jammu was adjudged 2nd and 3rd position was held by Sanamdeep Singh from Jammu among the 15 auditioned participants in which 8 participants were from out side state & 7 participants were from within state and were provided with the cash prizes of 5000/- , 3000/-and 2,000/- respectively. The devotional song competition was adjudged by the panels of experts in music including Anupama Sharma Professor Music Degree College Parade, Jammu, Usha Bhagati Ex HoD Music and Darbari Lal Kaswalia former Station Director All India Radio. The grand finale of the All India Devotional Song Competition will be held on 12th of Oct. and winner will be awarded with Rs one Lakh gold coin of Goddess and a recording contract with Venus Records & Tapes ltd. The proceeding of competition was conducted by Rakesh Wazir who is also the chairman of the said competition besides member Navratra Festival Committee. The All India Devotional Song Competition is being organised by S.M.V.D.Shrine Board and Deptt. Of J&K Tourism with active support of Zee News, Zee Jagran ,Mh Shardha, Disha Channel,92.7 BigFM, J&K Bank, Nidesh Builders Pvt.Ltd.Jammu,Jai Mata Di Sewa Sangh Prasadi, District Administration, Katra Municipality and the local host Community. |
