UGYA hails Govt decision not to enhance retirement age

JAMMU, Oct 6 : Unemployed Graduates Youth Association (UGYA) has welcome the stand taken by the government that the retirement age of the state govt. employees would not be enhanced. Addressing a meeting of association activists here today president of the Association Abdul Aziz Zargar said that certain elements were advocating the increase in the age limit but if this demand was accepted, it would add to the problems of 6 lacs unemployed youth. "Moreover there is a need to have deep look that who are persons behind this demand and what their motives", he added.
Zargar also pleaded for an enquiry into the anti govt. activities launched by so called leaders of the employees. He also said that the employees in general do not want the increase in the retirement age because this would also badly affects their chances promotions.
However, he added that the demands of the daily rated workers should be looked into favorably.
