Kathua, Oct 6: One day Inter district speedball championship organized by the department of youth services and sports in collaboration with J&K speedball association concluded at Delhi public school Rajbagh district Kathua here today. Dr. A.S. Nehra Principle Delhi public school Rajbagh was the chief guest S.K. Chalotra district officer youth services and sports was the guest of honour who distributed prizes amongst the students qualifying. D.C Kathua Jatindra Kumar Singh(I.P.S) also came for a little time and said this game is best for especially those schools who don't have a specialized playground and he also added that he would try his level best to flourish this game. Over 100 students from different schools like Delhi Public School, Shastri memorial school, rose public School, Green valley School, sports clubs and many more participated in the championship. The participants had great enthusiasm while the matches took place The championship was held under the overall supervision of Sunny Nanda general secretary speedball association and the championship was officiated by Rakesh Manhas (P.E.T) Subash Singh (P.E.T) Rajat Sharma (P.E.T).
Sahil Janjua (N.R), Gurmanjeet, Rhea Tikku, Manika Sharma (S.R) and department P.E.T's was also present. Under 19 yrs super solo Atin Khajuria, Vishal Sharma, Daleep Kumar, Sonia Verma Akshara Poonam Sharma.
Single Match: Robin Singh, Harpal Singh, Sushant Singh, Meena Kumari Chehak Verma Megha Rajput.
Mix double: Shivani Khajuria & Aman Kumar, Harshita Sharma & Divyaakash Singh, Hemani Jasrotia & Deepak Singh, Robin Sharma & Sanjay Sharma, Dikshit Sharma & Ramdayal Sharma, Amit Singh & Sahil Sharma, Neha Devi & Kamini Sharma, Suneha Singh & Surbhi Choudhary, Adamya Sharma & Priyanshi Bawa and under-19 years overall champion trophy was taken up by Shastri memorial school where as DPS Rajbagh placed runner up. |
