Govt fails to create sense of security among people: Thakur Balbir Singh
10/6/2013 10:35:12 PM
Early Times Report

Billawar, Oct 6: Expressing his serious concern over deteriorating law and order situation in the State, General Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Thakur Balbir Singh today lambasted Omar Abdullah led coalition regime for its failure to create sense of security among common masses.
In a statement issued here today after conducting extensive tour of the remote area of Billawar and adjoining localities, Thakur Balbir Singh observed that the fear psychosis has gripped inhabitants of Samba and Kathua district after twin militant attacks at Hiranagar and Samba on September 26. He, however, regretted that authorities have failed to remove this sense of insecurity among people.
"It seems that instead of inculcating confidence among fear stricken masses, the state government is itself creating sense of insecurity among the people by giving irresponsibility statements", Singh said and said that after September 26 attacks, rumour mongers have become active but those at the helm of the affairs have failed to properly informed the people about situation on ground.
Singh, while narrating incidents of higher reaches of Billawar, said that there was a feeling among people that a large number of infiltrators have managed to sneak into this side and they have been roaming freely in some areas. He asked the authorities to take some effective steps to revive shattered confidence of the people.
PDP general secretary alleged that it was a historical fact that National Conference always creates sense of fear and insecurity among people through its deceit tactics because this party wants to reap political benefit of chaos and confusion in the State.
"When ever National Conference come to power, State of Jammu and Kashmir witnesses such chaos and anarchy because such confusing situation suits National Conference", he said and called upon the people to strengthen brotherhood and communal harmony at the time of crisis.
