| Wild Life organizes world life week | | | early times report
Kathua, Oct 6: To celebrate world wildlife week, wild life department organized debate and painting competition on the importance and protection of wild life at Government High School.
Hundreds of students took part in the programme and some of them also expressed their understanding and opinions about the need and importance of wild life through debates and paintings.
On the occasion, Principal of the school was the chief guest and lit the lamp to start the wildlife week, while the programme was headed by the Range Officer, Dewan Chand.
Speaking on the occasion the Principal of the school expressed his serious concerns over the topic said that the prime duty of every student and citizens should be to protect the wild life and humanity so that a harmonious and balanced relationship could be maintained between man and nature.
The Range Officer said that the motive behind the celebration of Wild Life Week was just to call everyone to protect the wild life and to spread the awareness of importance and protection of the Wild Life. "The celebration will be going on for one week which was being commenced October 2 and will culminate on October 9, throughout the country", he said. |
