| CEO urges officials to work for peoples' welfare | | Warns action against erring officials | | early times report Rajouri, Oct 6: To improve the standard of education and to streamline the derailed functioning of the government schools, the newly appointed Chief Education Officer of Rajouri convened the meetings of the concerned officials for three consecutive days in his office. The meetings were convened from October ,3 to 5 in which Ch Lal Hussain, laid stress on implementation of various schemes and discussed the issues with them related to his department. He directed the DDOs to work day and night for the betterment of public in general and Student community in particular and furnish the tour dairies on regular basis. He added that It has come into his notice from some reliable resources /parents that their children were regular student till 9th class in the respective institutions. But now they have been shifted to private institutions as private candidates in the matriculation sent up list. This is against the norms laid down by education department He advised the headmasters /principals not send even a single student as private in matriculation sent up. "Any body found involved in such practices stern action will be taken against him" said CEO. He also directed/warned the concerned officials not to allow the teaching/ non teaching staff without prior permission/ serve cause to approach the ZEOs Office/ CEO Office or Directorate of School Education Jammu. Chief Education Officer Rajouri Sh Lal Hussain once again discussed and circulated 21 point "Measure to improve functioning of institutions in order to impart quality Education" In addition to the above, he also aware the Zonal Education Officer about their role, being nodal officers and asked them to furnish the requisite information as per agenda points including high and higher secondary schools under their jurisdiction with in stipulated period of time and requested the heads of the institutions to co-operate with the ZEOs on this behalf.
