| Suspected militants snatch weapon of CRPF trooper | | | Javaid Naikoo
Srinagar, Oct 9 : Panic gripped in south Kashmir's Tral area after four suspected militants today snatched the weapon of CRPF trooper in broad day light. According to the details four suspected militants in civil lines area of main town Tral this afternoon snatched the rifle of one CRPF trooper of 185 battalion when he was performing his routine duty in the area with his other colleagues. Locals of the area said that around four suspected militants appeared in civil lines area around 2:00 Pm and forcibly snatched the rifle from one trooper standing in one side of the road and fled the spot with no damage to them or to the people present on the spot there that time. The details reveal that suspected militants fired some aerial shots while escaping. However within minutes, security forces managed to cordon off the area and started massive search operation in the area. Pertinently this is not the first time when suspected militants have snatched weapons from the security forces in south Kashmir, as per the details around four times suspected militants snatched weapons from security forces in south Kashmir's Shopian and Pulwama areas from last two years and every time suspected militants have managed to fled away from the spot without any damage . |
