| Mir not courageous like Kitchloo to prove his mettle | | CM, Soz shielding Mir, Kamaal | |
Javaid Naikoo SRINAGAR, Oct 9: Reacting strongly on the revelations made by Congress MLC, Bashir Ahmad Magray in Legislative Council on Tuesday that Agriculture Minister Ghulam Hassan Mir, who has been accused of receiving Rs 1.19 crore from former Army chief Gen VK Singh for toppling Omar Government had actually approached State Congress chief Siaf-ud-Din Soz with his resignation but Soz refused to accept, additional general secretary of National Conference, Dr Mustafa Kamaal today said that Agriculture Minister is not courageous like former MOS Home of Jammu and Kashmir, Sajad Ahmad Kitchloo who resigned voluntarily after Kishtwar violence. Kamaal said that despite criticism and wide spread demands of resignation from his portfolio from different political circles, Ghulam Hassan Mir instead of approaching Chief Minister himself for resignation after V.K Singh's revelations used his party colleague Saif-ud-Din Soz as a shield. "Chief Minister himself like in the case of Sajad Kitchloo was not much interested to either accept the resignation of Ghulam Hassan Mir or dare to ask him for resignation too," said Kamaal. Ghulam Hassan Mir is in news again after Bashir Ahmad Magray while speaking during a discussion in Legislative Council on Tuesday said Mir had already submitted his resignation to the party chief of the State Congress but it was not accepted. |
