| Meditation camp organized at Kathua Jail | | |

Kathua, Oct 9: As a part of reformation program, Kathua Jail Authority in association with Prajapati Brahmkumari Ashram today organized "Raj Yoga Meditation" camp in the jail premises.
The program was held under the supervision of Jail Superintendent of Police, Harish Kotwal, in which the dozens of prisoner's participated.
Speaking on the occasion preacher from Braham Kumari, Shantnu said that mental tension is the cause of the crimes in the world and many diseases are also due to psychological imbalance, nervous strain and hypertension. He said that some people have started to take drugs but this does not provide them with a lasting relief rather these things have harmful effects on man's mental faculties and they make him a slave of the urge to take them again and again. In his address, SP Kotwal thanked the Brahm Kumari Ashram for organizing the camp for the benefit of the prisoners as well as society. He further said that reformation of the prisoners is the very first of the jail authorities and such type of programs along with vocational training programs are part of the same. |
