UDHAMPUR, Oct 9: Eight labourers received injuries when a Tavera vehicle they were traveling in met with an accident near Chenani. According to sources, a Tavera bearing Registration Number JK16-3300 on its way to Jammu from Srinagar fell into a deep gorge near Chenani on Jammu- Srinagar National Highway after the driver of the vehicle failed to negotiate a sharp curve. The driver lost control over the vehicle following which it rolled down in to a deep gorge. Locals took the injured persons to Sub-District Hospital Chenani where doctors referred all the injured persons to District Hospital, Udhampur. The injured have been identified as Manzoor Ahmad son of Jan Ali, Aziz-ul-Hassan son of Abdul Latif, Ahmad-ul-Latif son of Suqmar Din, Sujan Ali son of Abdul Latif, Saqeer Alam son of Mohd Hassan, Ishaq Ahmad son of Azroodin, Shafeeq-ul-Alam son of Taibul Din, all residents of West Bengal. Police have registered a case and started investigation. |
