Manmohan Singh's actions not in Indian interest
10/9/2013 10:41:10 PM

Hari Om

The Prime Minister
Manmohan Singh is
not representing Indian interests. In fact , he is causing a grievous injury to them. This writer is not exaggerating things while making this statement or he is not referring to what AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi did at the Press Club of India, New Delhi , on September 27, after a careful planning with his mother Sonia Gandhi and his advisors in the Congress and the Government to further undermine the already undermined office of Prime Minister and its instant impact on 'Monmohan' Singh and his meek, spineless and shameless Cabinet: The rollback on October 2 of the atrocious Ordinance and proposed bill on the protection of corrupt lawmakers.
Nor is this writer referring to the irreparable damage Manmohan Singh caused to the India's paramount sovereign interests at Havana in Cuba on September 16, 2006 and at Sharm-el-Sheikh in Egypt on July 16, 2009 and what he did in the wake of decapitation of our two soldiers in Mendhar sector on January 5, 2013, brutal murder of our five soldiers in the Poonch sector on August 6, 2013 and September 26 terror attacks in the Hiranagar police station in Kathua district and an Army camp in Samba district, which left six policemen, two soldiers, including a Lt Colonel and two civilians dead.
This writer is only referring to the Pakistani well-planned invasion on the Keran sector of Jammu & Kashmir and the criminal indifferent attitude of Manmohan Singh and the so-called Defence Minister AK Antony, Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid and Chief of the Army Staff General Bikram Singh to this Pakistani attack on India and Indian sovereignty as well as what Pakistani High Commissioner to India Salman Bashir did in Hyderabad on October 6 to ridicule India and abuse the aver-alert Indian media, which informed the nation that Pakistan had played a mischief in Keran sector to dismember India. While talking to some reporters at Hyderabad, emboldened and uncouth Salman Bashir rejected the charge that Pakistan had invaded India, on the contrary, accused the Indian media of sensationalising a non-event or an act enacted by 'non-state actors'. The Indian Foreign Office did not utter a word to set the record straight, thus causing an affront to the self-respect of the nation and forcing the media to fend for itself. Hats off to the media, which continued to discharge its duty towards the nation by exposing both Islamabad and the Indian establishment.
It is now established that the Pakistani Army and Pakistan-trained highly indoctrinated and dreaded terrorists invaded the Keran sector not on September 23 but much before to replicate Kargil in a more effective manner and help Islamabad promote its geo-political and communal interest in Jammu & Kashmir. They intruded deep inside the Indian territories to inflict death and destruction and unsuccessfully tried for more than two weeks to further the Pakistani agenda in the region exploiting the amenable South and North Blocks which have been working under the direct supervision, control and direction of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi since May 2004.
Instead of informing the nation that Pakistan had invaded India in the Keran sector, Manmohan Singh and those who under the directions of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi (mis)manage the country's defence and foreign affairs and command the otherwise committed and chivalrous Army kept the invaded nation in complete dark. Neither Manmohan Singh thought it is desirable to inform as to what Islamabad did in Jammu & Kashmir in the Keran sector nor Salman Khurshid, AK Antony and Chief of Army Staff 'General' Bikram Singh thought it is necessary to take the invaded nation into confidence. Manmohan Singh and Salman Khurshid knew it about it, but they didn't open their mouth because they were determined to outrage the national sentiment by ensuring a summit-level meeting between the Indian Prime Minister and his Pakistani counterpart Mian Nawaz Sharif on the margins of UN General Assembly in New York on September 29. Manmohan Singh did make a statement prior to his departure to the US on September 25 that he shall be meeting with his Pakistani counterpart, but concealed the fact that Pakistan had invaded India. Reporters did try to know as to what he thought about Pakistan in the aftermath of the September 26 twin-terror attacks in Hiranagar and Samba, but did not talk of the Pakistani attack on Keran sector because they didn't know that the Indian Army had launched counter military operations in Keran sector to evict and liquidate the invaders. It was only on September 30, a day after Manmohan Singh met with Mian Nawaz Sharif to give a dangerous respectability to the cult of terror and tell the Indians that he had little or no regard for the national sentiment, that the nation came to know as to what had been going on in Keran sector since days. It was not Manmohan Singh or AK Antony or Salman Khurshid or Bikram Singh who informed the nation; it was our media which broke the news. As for Manmohan Singh, AK Antony and Salman Khurshid, they did not speak a word on the situation at the Line of Control till October 8.
It was General Bikram Singh who shared some information with the nation twice between September 30 and October 8 about what happened in Keran sector and on October 8, he named and blamed Pakistan. He did not share the information on his own; he was forced by the media to do so. To be more exact, he at the behest of political establishment underplayed the Pakistani mischief. The fact of the matter is that the South Block did its best to keep everything out of public domain and did not give a freehand to our brave soldiers to deal with the situation in the required manner. It had behaved in a similar fashion during the recent Chinese intrusions into the Indian territories in Ladakh. In fact, it forced our soldiers to vacate our forward posts to address the Chinese anti-India geo-political concerns. Indeed, the unfortunate nation has a dispensation that willfully works against the national interest and humiliates Indians. Gone are the days when we had Prime Minister in the person of Lal Bahadur Shastri who would take no time in ordering our defence forces to march towards Lahore and open fronts in Rajasthan to teach Pakistan a lesson, which had invaded Kutch in Gujarat and Chhamb and adjoining areas in Jammu in 1965. India won the war within three weeks and gained 1,840 km of Pakistani territory. India lost 540 km of its territories to Pakistan. What happened at Tashkent in the former Soviet Union is a different story. And gone are the days when Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee would force Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf in January 2004 to acknowledge that the Pakistani territory had been used for exporting terror to India and make him commit that he will not allow soil under his control to be used for terrorism directed against India in any manner.
Enough is enough. The nation cannot afford the Congress-led minority UPA Government even for a second. General election is round the corner and it is our Fundamental Duty to throw out lock, stock and barrel the Congress and the UPA lock, stock and barrel. Remember, the decimation of the Congress and the UPA has become a historical necessity and one more term to the Congress would mean total anarchy and a god-sent opportunity for the hostile nations to launch a final assault and achieve their age-old most cherished anti-India goals. (PS: The grateful nation congratulates the Indian Army for getting the aggression vacated on October 8. It deserves kudos all the more because it discharged its obligation towards the nation weathering all odds, including the negative attitude of the South Block.)
